~ Meet Chef Jeromy Traynor ~

As a kid, Jeromy Traynor was inspired by the cooking show Wok with Yan and his culinary curiousity has never waned since watching that popular show. Soon after entering the restaurant industry Jeromy was encouraged by his peers to study the culinary arts. Jermony attended George Brown College and became an apprentice at Le Select Bistro in Toronto. Shortly following graduation Jeromy earned his Red Seal Certification. He then moved to the Niagra Region and cooked at the Hillebrand Winery Restaurant at tge Hillebrand Estate Winery. He credits Chef Tony Deluca as his mentor. Jeromy furthered his cooking experience at a few French inspired restaurants in St. Catherine's, Ontario. Jeromy decided to retrun to his Atlantic roots (he's from Bathurst, N.B.) and moved to Nova Scotia with his partner, Corinne. Exploring new ways to get closer to his food, Jeromy received his training in fisheries and survival. Jeromy has been lobster fishing off Yarmouth and recently went long lining for Halibut. Jeromy is now the guest chef and consultant for Lane's Privateer Inn in Liverpool and features chef caught specialities. Jeromy is passionate about using local, seasonal ingredients and this passion defines his culinary style.
